JSOM Corporate Relations Student Worker

JSOM CMC Corporate Relations Student Worker:

The JSOM Career Management Center is seeking candidates to support the Corporate Relations team during Summer 2024 and possibly into fall 2024. The ideal candidate has career interests in sales, recruiting and/or human resources administration. Candidates should possess attention to detail, excellent communication and customer service skills in a busy office with diverse individuals. This is an in-person position.

 

This position is 100% in-person with no remote/virtual option. The position also requires students to work at the front desk as directed by the supervisor. Must be available to work 15 hours/week during business hours MTUWTH, 8:30AM-5:30PM and/or F, 8:30AM-5PM. Occasional evening hours may be required for employer events.

75% Responsibilities: Event Planning; Employer and Student Communications; Handshake Events and Jobs; Marketing

·        Review Handshake internship and job positions posted for accuracy, contact employers to clarify requirements

·        Conduct Salesforce administrative duties, such as account reconciliation and report building

·        Contact and respond to employers to clarify position requirements and to promote opportunities to connect with JSOM students.

·        Create and implement marketing materials/campaigns aimed at both students and employers

·        Assist with promotion (social media, Instagram, LinkedIn) for in-person and virtual employer events.

  • Promote JSOM CMC and employer events, workshops and services in classes as directed by supervisor. Public speaking experience and skills a plus.
  • Project planning and time management skills a plus.

 

25% Responsibilities: Front Desk, Event and Facility Preparation

  • Provide front desk support addressing student questions in-person, phone and email.
  • Prepare facility and interview rooms for on-campus recruiting and special events.
  • Support employer events and workshops including event set-up and check-in

Requirements:

·        JSOM Majors including Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors Preferred. JSOM Human Resources Management, Marketing and/or Professional Sales Majors are preferred.

 Strong Canva skillset is preferred as well as social media marketing experience.

 

Outstanding communication skills, problem solving, self-motivated, professionalism and good judgment/decision making are essential to be successful in this role. The student worker may perform additional activities within the Career Management Center, including front desk support, answering student questions, greeting visitors, or supporting the overall office.
